How to Update Your Photos
Keep your portfolio fresh and your bookings coming in.
Step 1: Log In to Your Account
Open the Jida app or visit the website and sign in with your phone number. You'll receive an OTP code to verify your identity.
Step 2: Go to Your Profile
Once logged in, navigate to your profile page. This is where all your information, measurements, and photos are displayed.
Step 3: Edit Your Photos
Tap the edit button on your photo gallery. You can remove old photos and upload new ones. We recommend keeping at least 4-6 strong photos in your portfolio at all times.
Step 4: Upload New Photos
When choosing new photos, keep these tips in mind:
- Good lighting: Natural daylight is your best friend. Avoid harsh overhead lighting or dark indoor shots.
- Recent photos: Use photos taken within the last 3-6 months. Casting directors want to see what you look like now, not two years ago.
- Variety: Include a headshot, a full-body shot, and at least one lifestyle photo. Different looks and settings give brands more to work with.
- No heavy filters: Keep editing minimal. Brands need to see the real you.
- High resolution: Blurry or pixelated photos make a poor impression. Use your phone's highest quality camera setting.
Step 5: Wait for Review
After uploading, your new photos will be reviewed by our team. This usually takes less than 24 hours. We check for quality, appropriateness, and consistency with our platform standards. Once approved, your updated photos go live on your profile immediately.
Casting directors prefer recent shots. If your photos are more than six months old, consider updating them. A fresh portfolio shows you're active, engaged, and ready for work. Talent with up-to-date photos are booked more often.
Tips for Great Photos
You don't need a professional shoot to have great portfolio photos. Here's what works:
- Ask a friend to take your photos — a second person always gets better angles
- Shoot during the golden hour (the hour before sunset) for warm, flattering light
- Wear simple, well-fitted clothing — solid colors work better than busy patterns
- Use a clean, uncluttered background
- Relax your face and shoulders — tension shows in photos
